I'm Akash Soti

I'm a design leader who works at the intersection of systems, scale, and craft. I operate with an owner's mindset, constantly refining my principles around planning, execution, and communication. I rely on mechanisms to raise the bar, automate the mundane, and create space for better thinking.

I'm Director of Design for Payments at Pine Labs and Head of Design at Setu, based in Bangalore, leading a team of seven across POS, payment gateway, merchant dashboards and India's fintech infrastructure. I began my journey as the founding designer at Punchh, which was later acquired by PAR for $500MM. That experience shaped my approach to zero-to-one work and large-scale systems, and set the foundation for my time at Ola and then seven years at Amazon, working with global teams and growing as a design leader.

Outside of work, I'm deeply curious about art and architecture, enjoy visiting museums around the world, and value time spent with friends and family. I bring the same curiosity and perspective back into how I build teams and products.
